So what do I get for my money?
You get a professional organizer ready and eager to help you realize your organizing goals! We utilize all of our skills (including humor and a fair share of patience) to guide you through the process of becoming and staying organized.
How do you handle payment?
Payment is due at time of service. We accept cash, checks, or money orders.
Which staff member would I be getting?
Our staff members have different schedules and times of availability. We also match specializations (garages and attics, for example) with client needs. We recognize that when an organizing project begins a client and the organizer assigned to them may often form a bond.
Whenever possible, we try to continue to provide that staff member to the client if they request it.
How long does this whole 'organizing thing' take?
In terms of the project as a whole, it takes as long as it takes. We are mindful that each client is on a budget and we understand that time is of the essence. Ultimately, it falls to the individual client to determine just how long it will take for their organizing goals to come to fruition.
Homework is often assigned to the client by one of 25th Hour's organizers. How quickly a client completes their 'homework' and also how they apply the lessons learned during the organizing sessions will heavily impact how quickly they find themselves accomplishing their organizing goals.
Lastly, keep in mind that your clutter did not instantly appear. It took time to get to the state it is in. I promise you, we can help you take it away a far sight faster than it took to pile up!
What if I need help hauling away trash, donating items to charities or just cleaning up?
Trash - This is left to the individual organizer's discretion. If we are able to, and there are no fears of pest infestation, we may remove trash on a 'by client, by situation' basis.
Donations - If you need help hauling away items to be donated, there is an extra fee of $3 per box or bag. This helps defray the costs of our time and mileage in taking the items away for you. There are several local charities that will pick up your donations for you if you would prefer. Please review our Resources list for more information.
Cleaning Up - In the course of organizing we may assist the client in some limited cleaning tasks (for example, vacuuming or wiping down a surface), but for full cleaning services we recommend you hire a service if you are unable to do it yourself. Our affiliate, C's Cleaning Services, extends a 10% reduction in cleaning service fees to 25th Hour Organizing clients. Please call (816) 331-5502 and speak with Christine for more details.
How long do the organizing sessions last?
Most organizing sessions last 2-3 hours, but we can often go longer if you wish. Once clients get into the organizing 'swing' of things, they often find themselves with a lot of energy and excitement. If a staff member is limited to a set amount of hours at one time, we will notify you of that fact before the organizing session begins. |
