Frequently Asked Questions

What Areas Do You Service?
We provide services to the Greater Kansas City Metropolitan area. We will travel as far as:

  • North to downtown Kansas City
  • West to Overland Park, Olathe, Lenexa and Shawnee
  • East to Independence, Lee's Summit and Blue Springs
  • South to Grandview, Belton, or Peculiar.
  • And all areas in between!

When Would My House Be Cleaned?
All housecleaning visits are scheduled during the weekdays (after 9 am but finishing before 5 pm), when most clients are at work. We know that time with your family or the opportunity to unwind is paramount, so we try to come and go without interfering with your routine. After an initial consultation, we will set a day of the week, and a time slot (with a one hour variance for traffic and road conditions) for our 'at home' clients for your home. This allows our clients to return to a clean home...it's almost as if they've been visited by cleaning fairies!

What Are Your Rates?
Our rates depend on what is being done. Some homes require an initial cleaning that takes longer than what a weekly visit would take. Our minimum visit fee is $52. For an accurate rate quote, we must visit your home or business, assess what needs to be done, and give you an estimate for an initial visit, and then an estimate of what follow-up visits to your property will cost you.

How Do You Handle Keys?
Handing over a copy of the keys to your house or business can be a difficult decision for many people. C's Cleaning Services understands and respects those concerns. That is why we keep all keys labeled clearly with a random number known only to us (not your name or address) and stored on premises when not in use. We will never make copies of your keys, and we return the keys within seven days of notification of termination of services.

How Long Will It Take To Clean My House?
Without a consultation, with a room by room analysis and an idea of what exactly your individual needs are, it is impossible to give an accurate timeframe. We know you want the job done right, and as expediently as possible, and we aim to please in that department!

Cleaning is very hard work and it takes time. But based on our experience we are able to give the following estimated task times by room. Please keep in mind that these are estimates and your home's needs may vary anywhere from the high and low side of these numbers. And a few homes may take much longer or shorter than the estimated times listed.

Estimated Times by Room
Room Estimated Time
Bedroom 15-25 minutes
Full bathroom (1 sink, toilet, bathtub & mirror) 20-30 minutes
Living room 15-30 minutes
Dining room 15-25 minutes
Half bathroom (1 sink, toilet, & mirror) 10-15 minutes
Kitchen 30-45 minutes
Utility room 5-20 minutes
Stairs 5-15 minutes

Factors that are taken into consideration and can expand or reduce the estimated task times are:

  • Size of the room
  • Number of objects to be moved (knickknacks, furniture, small appliances, etc.)
  • Condition of the room (bathtubs may need a deep scrub, or floors or walls may have a heavy buildup of dirt)
  • What is being done (just dusting, or vacuuming, or a deep clean)

C's Cleaning Services will NOT:

  • Iron clothes
  • Wash dishes
  • Prepare meals
  • Wash laundry
  • Clean your home if there are unsupervised children on the premises
  • Perform repairs on your property
  • Wash outside windows or doors
  • Move heavy objects, objects easily tipped, or excessive amounts of items from floors that need vacuuming (think of your teenager's bedroom for a good example)

This is not a complete list of "don'ts". Please ask if you have a question on a particular service you would like provided.

What Cleaning Products Do You Use?
Regular cleaning products include:

  • Soft Scrub or Comet cream cleanser
  • Toilet bowl cleanser (such as The Works)
  • Bathroom spray sanitizer (such as Scrubbing Bubbles)
  • Simple Green
  • Spic 'n Span (for floors)
